CEO of Santana Group companies named San Antonio’s “Large Business Owner of the Year”; team receives “Cutting Edge” award from El Paso Hispanic chamber.
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (PRWEB) JUNE 26, 2016
Rosa Santana, the Texas-based entrepreneur and business leader who owns and operates several companies under the Santana Group umbrella, was named “Large Business Owner of the Year” on June 14th by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The award was given in recognition of the success of her latest enterprise: Forma Automotive, LLC, the first Hispanic-woman-owned direct tier 1 supplier to Toyota.
Santana and her team—daughters Lisa Navarro-Gonzales and Nicole Navarro Velesiotis—were also honored in June with the “Cutting Edge” award by the Women’s Business Border Center of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes top-performing executive teams of women-owned and operated businesses.
In addition to Forma Automotive, the Santana Group includes enterprises dedicated to workforce solutions, contact center services and business process outsourcing services in the U.S. and Mexico.
“The success and growth of Forma Automotive has been a dream made possible through the hard work of my exceptional team and Toyota’s confidence. Thank you to Toyota, a champion committed to empowering, developing and promoting diverse suppliers,” Santana said. “It’s also exciting to be recognized as a team. My daughters Lisa and Nicole have worked extremely hard to become effective leaders within the Santana Group and the workforce solutions industry. Lisa and Nicole have been an integral part of the success of each of our companies.”
Santana has been in the workforce solutions business for 35 years, from management and executive positions in U.S.-based corporations to leadership of her own workforce solutions companies since 2002.
Santana’s executive experience and ability to source talented workers created a foundation that supported and energized her boundless entrepreneurial spirit. Her companies have grown from business services to the manufacturing sector.
In September 2014, Toyota announced Forma Automotive, LLC would join Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Texas as an on-site supplier, providing truck bed assembly for Toyota’s award-winning Tacoma pick-up. This partnership grew from Santana’s successful 10-year staffing relationship with Toyota Manufacturing and Toyota’s tier 1 suppliers.
As the Santana Group has grown to five thriving companies to date, Rosa Santana and her daughters are proud to serve as mentors and role models, encouraging individuals to pursue success in their lives and careers. This dynamic team of women is actively involved in their communities, serving on many boards of local and national nonprofit organizations.
